dj taxi???
weirdest taxi ride of my life. anyone ever get in the dj taxi before (7H13)? wowza. we get in and there is relaxational music playing and a portable ipod speaker hanging by a wire in the back with a note that the music is a creation of DJ taxi and you are also welcome to stick in your own ipod. there is also a box of magazines hanging by wire from two screws sticking out of the seat. we’re trying to take stock of our surroundings and then we hear the driver tell us to relax and help ourselves to the snack bar behind us… we turn and see a box of m&m packs and bottles of water on the console behind our heads. it was a trip…at the end he gave me his card and said he is raising money for a homeless shelter. whether true or not, i was glad to let him keep all the change since for half the trip i figured i’d be washing up in the east river in the morning…
